Enrolment Enquiries

To register interest for attending a special character interview as the first step of the process, please email enrol@raphaelhouse.school.nz with your name and contact details as well as the names and dates of birth of the students you would like to consider enrolling.
Our enrolment officer will then get back to you with the initial documentation required to arrange a special character interview.
Our kindergarten is under the oversight of the Wellington Rudolf Steiner kindergarten Trust. For kindergarten enrolment queries, please contact the manager Jaci Gilbertson on centremanager@rhkindergarten.org.nz
Usually, we would require your attendance at the following before a Special Character Interview:
- School tour (Lower School) – <2026 dates will be published once finalised>
- Open Day (Upper School) – <2026 dates will be published once finalised>
The enrolment process can take approximately four to five weeks.
2026 Fees
Attendance Dues are compulsory. These are paid to the Proprietor’s Trust and used for land and property development. In 2026, these are $1620 per child.
Board Donations are paid to the Board and help fund the education, including special character features, that is over and above a standard education funded by the Government. This includes things like handwork and woodwork, class plays, festivals, eurythmy, class projects, therapies, learning support assistants and extra teaching staff above entitlement from the Government. In 2026, the suggested amount for a child in Class 1 or Class 2 is $2000 per child, for a child in Class 3-7 the suggested amount is $2200. For a child in Class 8-12 the suggested amount is $2400.
We do also ask for a donation towards our camp programme to support the high-quality camp experiences we offer. For Class 3-12 we suggest a $450 donation. Please note the actual costs for the camps exceed this and other school money is also budgeted toward the camp costs.
Proprietor Donations contribute towards non-property Special Character costs including the New Zealand Certificate of Steiner Education as well as the national and international levies to different Waldorf and integrated school associations. In 2026, the suggested amount is $410.

Please note that we have several restrictions in our classes. So, even if there are spaces in the class, some students may initially be accepted onto the waiting list based on the current needs in the class.
- Class 2 (State equivalent Year 3)
- Class 3 (State equivalent Year 4)
- Class 4 (State equivalent Year 5)
- Class 8 (State equivalent Year 9)
