Homestay Accommodation – Your Home Away from Home
International students at Raphael House can choose between three accommodation options:
- Living with their own parent(s)
- Living with a Residential Caregiver/Homestay Family organised through the school
- Living with a Designated Caregiver (a caregiver nominated by the student’s family and approved by the school)
All international students must live in school-approved accommodation, ensuring safety, care, and a supportive environment throughout their stay.
Our Residential Caregivers/Homestay families are carefully selected and personally visited by our Homestay Coordinator before hosting any student. Each family is also police vetted in accordance with The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 so you can feel confident that you’ll be well cared for. Ongoing support is provided for all students and caregivers throughout a student’s stay, ensuring everyone feels connected and supported.
Homestay families provide a fully furnished bedroom, three meals a day, and — most importantly — a warm, welcoming family atmosphere where students can experience everyday life in New Zealand and truly feel at home.
