At Raphael House, we aim to keep communication clear, timely, and accessible. To ensure you receive all important information, we ask that families regularly engage with our official communication channels.

Hero – Our Primary Communication Tool

Hero is the school’s main communication platform.

Through Hero you will receive:

Families can access Hero through the app or via a web browser and may choose to receive notifications through the app or by email.

The Bush Telegraph

The Bush Telegraph is published every Friday and is our primary means of communicating school news, events, upcoming dates, notices, and community information.

To stay fully informed about what is happening at school, we strongly encourage all families to set aside 10–15 minutes each Friday or over the weekend to read the Bush Telegraph.

As part of the Conditions of Enrolment, families agree to regularly read school communications, including the Bush Telegraph.

The Bush Telegraph is distributed through Hero and is also emailed to a wider distribution list.

Class Representatives

Class representatives may use class email lists to share information, organise community activities, and support class connections. These communications are separate from official school communications.

WhatsApp and Parent Social Media Groups

Some classes have parent-run WhatsApp groups or other social media groups. While these can be valuable for building community and sharing informal information, they are not official school communication channels.

Information shared in these groups may not always be complete or accurate.

For this reason:

Staying Connected

To ensure you do not miss important information:

✓ Check Hero regularly.

✓ Enable Hero notifications.

✓ Read the Bush Telegraph each week.

✓ Contact the school directly if you have questions.

By using our agreed communication channels, we can ensure information is accurate, consistent, and reaches all members of our community fairly.
